KEK-SLAC ISG9 Meeting (December, 2002 at KEK)

Information

• The 9th KEK-SLAC ISG Meeting on linear colliders (LCs) was held at KEK from Dec.10 through Dec.13, 2002. The ISG9 meeting is a continuation of the ISG meeting series that started in early 1998. This is operated according to the MoU signed and extended by the KEK and SLAC directors for the joint research activities.
• The overall goal for ISG9 is to arrive at a consensus JLC/NLC plan to approach the forthcoming international comparison of RF technologies for LCs. The meeting will concentrate on the near-future milestones in development of the main linac RF technologies, specifically, the TRC R1 and R2 issues.
  1. Review the progress and update the plans for completing the "NLC/JLC Baseline Milestones addressing TRC R1" for the year 2003. Identify the contingency actions for improving the security of fullfulling the JLC/NLC TRC1 R1 requirements in 2003.
  2. Review the "NLC/JLC Milestones" for the following year 2004.
  3. Review the progress on other technology issues, the overall machine design, and comparison of cost studies. Identify the actions to address TRC R2 issues.
